The second season of the series was premiered on August 14, 2006. The second season of the series had twelve episodes in it. The second season the series started with Celia taking the decision of running for Doug’s seat on the city council after her request for dealing in a car accident is not accepted. Nancy tries to control her temper after she comes to know that Peter is a DEA agent and also tries to maintain balance in her family relations. On the other hand Andy tries to get into rabbinical school in order to avoid employment. In the next episode, Andy, Doug and Nancy try and attend a pot expo without asking for Conrad’s help. While at expo, Nancy buys a plant and Andy comes to know of a way of entering rabbinical school.

At the time of elections, Celia’s parents withdraw their support from her. On the other hand, Megan gets admission into Princeton University, much to the disappointment of Silas.
