Justin Kirk spent his childhood in Union, Washington and studied on a Native American reservation at a grade school. At the age of 12, he moved to Minneapolis, from there he moved further to New York City after doing his high school graduation. He joined the Circle in the Square in New York for a two-year conservatory program in acting.
He stared appearing for the Broadway productions with ‘Any Given Day’. He then performed in ‘Love! Valour! Compassion!’ and earned an Obie Award for Distinguished Performance in the Ensemble. His performance in another play named, ‘Old Wicked Songs’ earned him the Back Stage West Garland Award for Outstanding Performance.
He has appeared in the films like ‘Love! Valour! Compassion!’, ‘Chapter Zero’, ‘The Eden Myth’, ‘Puccini for Beginners’, ‘Flannel Pajamas’& ‘Call o’ the Glen’. He has shown his acting skills in some more films like ‘99 Threadwaxing’, ‘Teddy Bears’ Picnic’, ‘Outpatient’, ‘Ask the Dust’, and ‘Hollywood Dreams’. He has also done voiceover acting for ‘Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience’.
He started appearing on television in the series ‘Jack & Jill’. He appeared for a single episode of ‘New York News’, ‘The Pretender’, ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘Jack and Bobby’, ‘Without a Trace’ and ‘Everwood’, besides appearing in six episodes of ‘Angels in America’.
